In the mountain terraces, every human gesture has left its mark. In Sistelo, the landscape has been shaped over time, reflecting centuries of cooperation and community life.
A walk through Sistelo, where land, water and human presence intertwine in a landscape shaped over generations.
Among terraces, stone walls, paths and the village itself, we walk slowly, taking time to observe, interpret and understand a way of inhabiting the land deeply rooted in time.

QUICK OVERVIEW
🌿 DURATION: Full day, lived at an attentive and engaging pace
🍃CONTEXT: Sistelo, Alto Minho — Village and territory classified as a Cultural Landscape and National Monument
🌿 FOCUS: In-depth reading of the landscape, history, ancestral agricultural practices and ways of inhabiting the territory
🍃 TYPE OF EXPERIENCE: Sensory, interpretive and relational walk, reading the cultural landscape and human presence

🌿 PHYSICAL LEVEL: Moderate - hillside and mountain terrain, with ascents and descents, paced to suit the group
DAY UNFOLDING
● Walk along trails and paths that reveal the human gesture in shaping the landscape
● Pauses to listen to silence, read the topography and recognise traces of time
● Encounters with local stories and memories, understanding the territory as a living body
● Guided visit to the Interpretative Center of Cultural Landscape
● Designed for those seeking an experience that goes beyond observation — an invitation to coexist with the place

● €120 per person, for 2 participants

WHAT IS INCLUDED
● Territory mediation, led locally
● A contemplative reading of Sistelo village, experienced within its living historical and cultural context
● A mediated visit to the Cultural Landscape Interpretation Centre

BEFORE PARTICIPATING
● The experience takes place in a hillside and mountain setting, along routes of approximately 7 to 9 km
● Moderate difficulty, including some demanding climbs and descents
● Calm, accompanied pace, prioritizing observation, listening, and attunement to the territory
● Recommended: appropriate footwear and clothing for uneven terrain and mountain weather conditions
