🍃Monção belongs to the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, a distinctive part of the Vinho Verde DOC, defined by its unique wine-growing landscapes and by the central role vineyards play in rural life.
🍃This experience invites you to discover the municipality of Monção from the point of view of its wine-growing and agricultural dimension, travelling through parishes such as Tangil, Merufe and others, where the rural landscape is deeply marked by vines, cultivated fields and the rhythms of the rural world. Along the way, a comprehensive reading of Vinhos Verdes is built up, in its white and red expressions, in close relationship with the territory that gives rise to them.
🍃The route extends to Sistelo, in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez - a village classified as a Cultural Landscape and National Monument - where you can see a more rustic and ancestral expression of Vinho Verde, produced by farmers for their own consumption and integrated into the local way of life.
🍃The day concludes with a visit to a longstanding wine estate, where a guided tasting reveals the more refined expressions of Vinho Verde, accompanied by a selection of carefully chosen local products.
