Solar de Serrade is a traditional manor house of the Alto Minho, distinguished by its armorial features — coats of arms that assert identity, lineage and belonging. Impressive and well-balanced, it is marked by two towers flanking the main body, giving it a striking presence in the landscape.
The house is accompanied by a romantic garden and a chapel, forming the core of an agricultural estate where an extensive vineyard stands out. Here, architecture, land and cultivation come together as a coherent whole, expressing a long-standing way of inhabiting and caring for the territory.

Located in Mazedo, just a few kilometres from the town of Monção, Solar de Serrade experienced periods of abandonment and once fell into ruin. Its careful restoration restored both dignity and life, and today it stands as a regional reference in heritage tourism accommodation.
Inside, the house preserves a particularly rich collection of furniture, tableware and tapestries, reinforcing its historical character and enriching the visitor’s experience. From the estate’s vineyards comes Alvarinho wine marketed under the Solar de Serradedesignation, extending the identity of the place into the wine itself.

Solar de Serrade is thus a place where memory is transformed into hospitality and where the territory continues to be lived. A place to be discovered — naturally, and unhurriedly.
