The Lima River by Kayak — Presence, Silence, and Discovery
An experience designed on a human scale, to the rhythm of the water and the place, first by kayak, then on foot, for those who seek to understand the valley from the perspective of time, landscape and presence.
◆ This is not an unlikely combination, but a natural reading of this territory, where water, landscape and wine culture form the same identity.
◆ In the Lima Valley, wine is inseparable from history, from local communities and from the deep relationship with the river — a heritage shaped over time, marked by human perseverance and by the constant presence of water in the organisation of the landscape and ways of life.
◆ This experience proposes a sensitive approach to the territory from the river itself. Water becomes path, rhythm and vantage point, revealing another way of reading the valley, lived in silence and in direct contact with nature.
◆ The journey includes time on the river, followed by a pause at the table — either a picnic in nature or a traditional lunch slowly prepared over the fireplace, in a reserved setting. The day concludes with a visit to a family wine estate and a guided tasting of Vinho Verde wines.
Here, the journey does not follow a fixed itinerary, but flows with the river, gradually revealing the landscape and the vineyards that inhabit it.
