◆ Monção is part of the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, one of the most prestigious areas of the Vinho Verde region, recognised for the singular character of its vineyard landscapes and for the historical centrality of the vine in rural life.
◆ This experience invites you to discover the municipality of Monção through its wine-growing and agricultural landscape, travelling through parishes such as Tangil, Merufe and others, where the countryside remains deeply shaped by vineyards, cultivated fields and the rhythms of rural life. Along the way, a broader reading of Vinho Verde wines emerges, in both their white and red expressions, closely connected to the territory that gives them origin.
◆ The route continues to Sistelo, in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez — a village classified as Cultural Landscape and National Monument — where one encounters a more rustic and ancestral expression of Vinho Verde, produced by farmers for their own consumption and integrated into local ways of life.
◆ The experience culminates at an emblematic wine estate, with a visit and guided tasting of Vinho Verde wines in their most refined and noble expression, accompanied by carefully selected local products.
