Between the grapes and the glass, presence and observation reveal the living rhythm of the vineyard, showing how the wine is born from the landscape and the life that sustains it.
Monção belongs to the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, a distinctive part of the Vinho Verde DOC, defined by its unique wine-growing landscapes and by the central role vineyards play in rural life.
This journey explores the Monção region through wine and agriculture, crossing rural parishes such as Tangil, Merufe, and others, where vineyards, cultivated fields, and seasonal rhythms continue to shape everyday life. Along the way, Vinho Verde wines — both white and red — are experienced in close connection with the territory that nurtures them.
The route continues to Sistelo, a village classified as a Cultural Landscape and National Monument, where a rustic and ancestral expression of Vinho Verde endures, traditionally produced for local consumption and deeply embedded in the rhythms of daily life.
The day concludes with a visit to a longstanding wine estate, where a guided tasting reveals the more refined expressions of Vinho Verde, accompanied by a selection of carefully chosen local products.
A small-scale cultural journey where wine, landscape and rural life are read together, inviting attention and presence in the territory.
