Solar de Serrade | Monção & Melgaço

Solar de Serrade is an armoured house (which displays symbols of identity or belonging - arms or coats of arms) that is typically High Minoan. It is showy and impressive with its two towers flanking the main body. It is accompanied by a romantic garden and a chapel and is the centrepiece of an agricultural estate on which a vast vineyard stands out.

It is located in Mazedo, just a few kilometres from the town of Monção. It was once in ruins and today it is a regional reference in the field of residential tourism. It has a particularly rich collection of furniture, crockery and tapestries. The vineyards produce Alvarinho wine marketed under the Solar de Serrade name.
To be discovered, of course.
