Casa de Rodas is a typical Minho manor house with a rich and long history - dating back to 1566. It is located in Troviscoso, very close to the town of Monção. It has been classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1986. We also think it's important to highlight the implementation of the landscape architecture project for the garden by the famous architect Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles in 1961.
Alvarinho wine is produced on the Quinta's 27 hectares of vineyards. In 2020 the property was acquired by Symington Family Estates, a colossus in the Douro Valley, which owns, among other wine references, four renowned Port wine brands: Graham's, Dow's, Warre's and Cockburn's.
From this process and the association with the recognised and respected winemaker Anselmo Mendes, a native of the region, Symington Alvarinho Casa de Rodas was born in 2023. A stamp of prestige, an ode to refinement.
