We Want Green promotes discovery at a slow pace to the rhythm of another era, in the far north-west of the country, on the border with Galicia.
Join us and explore this corner of the country deeply moulded by rurality. And discover imposing mountains, serene forests, wild streams, picturesque villages, historic towns and inspiring rivers.
Breathe in tranquillity, walk along forgotten paths and trails, savour authentic aromas and feel your heart beat and overflow.
As you can easily see, the aim of our experiences is to repair the psychological and emotional wear and tear caused by contemporary urban life. At the same time, we want to enhance the multifaceted heritage of the countryside, which is so often undervalued, misunderstood or forgotten. A colossal mistake.
In short, we're convinced that periodic immersion in the slow breathing of the woods, mountains and countryside helps to compensate for the imbalance caused by the excess noise, agitation, tension and demands of everyday life. And it enriches the sensory and cultural library of every visitor and traveller.
But in this blog, in the Slow Tourism Portugal category, we don't just want to give visibility to the experiences we promote and carry out in our area of action, the Minho Highlands. We also want to write about other projects carrying out activities in other parts of the country. Projects that we like and with which we share similarities in behaviour, philosophy and purpose.
