Quinta de Soalheiro is one of the most glittering emblems of the Monção and Melgaço wine region. Located in Valadares, Melgaço, in the heart of the countryside,  has been able to grow and innovate without ever losing its family character and ties to its origins. And that has made all the difference. Its range of wines is broad and diverse. And there they work on the edge of excellence, with one eye on preserving tradition and the other on experimentation and the stimulating search for the new.

In this context, wine tourism is a natural extension of this stance. It is a passionate act of sharing and inherently a powerful element of communication and promotion. There are multiple visit programmes, every day of the week, by appointment. Some tastings include harmonisation with carefully selected local products.

But in addition to the wines, there are also "The Pur Terroir" infusions, the result of the recovery of an old local habit. You can visit the infusion field and savour some expressions accompanied by bread and local honey. An excellent alternative  for those who are not very familiar with the world of wine.

Soalheiro is not a designation that honours this frontier corner of north-west Portugal, but the country as a whole.
